what is the best type of air filter to replace a 2.4 td standard issue one with,is k/n good? will this give better acceleration or is this tosh?and is there better out there for my surf than k&n.....................many thanks all

K&N are good but noisy because they normally replace the standard filter box and inlet tube. If you dont like induction noise try a washable foam one that fits inside the original air filter box. 'Finerfilter'?

K&N also make a filter to fit the original air box.There is some info on this on our Aussie site.

i have put a k and n one in

hi guys,thanks for your help,i ordered one from formula one in hollingbury brighton,its a direct replacement for the old one....you just stick it in the filter container(thats its technical name),cost 44 pounds but the thing can be cleaned and then repeatedly reused....cool,i think it is loads better than a toyota one but my surf has since started to run bad so im not entirely sure....but acceleration feels quicker if i could only get it in gear...grrrrrrrrrr.
