Fan Belt Squeeling !

Hey guys,

Wondering if one fo you could show me which bolt i need to tighten the alternator belt on the 2.4 TD engine. Its got to the squeeling point and its a tad embarasing, n fed up of waiting for it to charge to stop the squeeling.

Probably best to change them. I'm assuming there's 2 like on the 3.0 though. Not expensive, and given that they spin your cooling fan too, best be safe than sorry.

I had them changed not to long ago when the new engine was fitted, so guessing they have just streched a little. Just not to sure which tensioner iv got to use.

Second photo shows the tension adjuster bolt.

Make sure you loosen the lock bolt through the centre before you try to tension or you will snap the thin tensioner bolt.
