  • Caliper Question

    All,

Pickup is pulling to the left, so I decided to take the wheel (driver-side) off to have a look. On inspection it looks as if the previous owner has ringed the nuts on the brake line. Anyone got any ideas hoe to get this open, as I presume I can't take the caliper off without this being free.

If you're planning to replace the calipers then take the opportunity to put in stainless hoses. Just replace the hard lines at the same time (I did mine and they weren't too much from the main dealer)

The solid brake pipes, as opposed to the flexi hoses.

They're the solid metal pipes that go from the back of the caliper to the bracket on the bottom arm (or there abouts) from there its a rubber hose up the the solid lines from the master cylinder. I'm talking about replacing the rubber hose with stainless and putting new metal pipe bits in at the back of the caliper.

I can take some pics tomorrow or Sat if you need them.

Edit: Scotch bloke beat me to it
