hi can any of you guy tell me what could be wrong with my 2.4td it run and drive purfect its only when i sit with it idleing the check light comes on and when i rev the engine it goes out then comes back on again after a few seconds so if anyone has any ideas i would appreciate any advice

Could be loose alternator belts or fuel pump problem if the light goes out when the engine is revved.
Have you checked for any codes logged in the ECU?

Hi Andy,
just a thought, when the light comes on, what's the oil pressure like?,
It may be acting like an oil light, oil guage should be 1/4ish at tickover.
(ever wondered why they never fitted an oil light as standard?).
