2.4l or 3l help please

I am looking round at Surf's, unfortunatly the 3ls are stretching my money slightly (max about £5K), the apparant problem with the heads on the 2.4 worry me slightly. If I get a 2.4, is it going to cost me loads of money to swap the head before it goes or is it worth running it until it goes. You may have guessed I know nothing about cars, just what I like to drive.....

2.4s are not as bad as they are painted. I would go for the 2.4 just look around and find the one that looks best, drive it, look under the bonnet, etc etc etc.

Drive it until it breaks - thats if it does. You may get away with it not going, not every 2.4 has a problem.

If you can do it yourself, if the head ever does go then you can do it for about £700 as opposed to 15-1600 from a garage.

A 2.4 is better than no Surf at all. I am very pleased with my 2.4 even though the head did go on mine last August. It runs really well now and pulls like a train.

Ive had my Kreg 2.4 ssrx SURF just over 12 months now & ive done around 20,000 miles & shes still got a good engine. The surf does require looking after, just routine oil changes etc
