2.8 head on 2.4 engine

after a long search I found that the 2.8 head can be used on a 1991 2.4 surf engine .
but I couldnt find the full info. is it a straight swap or i need to modify something.
any info would be helpfull.

Just remember to get the right head gasket there are 3 different ones all different thickness,give roughtrax a ring tell what you are doing and they will give you the right 1 also it maybe worth it to put new head bolt in.

when my head went (under warrenty) the garage used the wrong gasket and the old bolts 18 months later the head gasket went again so this time I did the work myself got the right head gasket and new head bolts from Roughtrax
and she has been spot on ever since(3yrs now)

in the end I went for hiace 1999 head. we finish yesterday
and my baby is working like a dream
and now the big job, I have to convert it to LHD lol
