Single unit and universal pocket will both secure to the existing bracket for the double unit. Take of dash surround fit radio & pocket put dash back on, or you can cut the trim away as other have for the radio. I fitted mine then put the dash back, radio ain't coming easy now.
Halfrauds do the universal pockets as does any good ICE place, but just don't ask in Halfrauds for it or the ex B&Q employee will look at you blankly and go and ask someone else who won't have a clue either.
Say not always what you know, but always know what you say.

          Fitted mine today

You use the original brackets off of the old stereo, i used a pocket made by "Maystar" part No.K805 it is listed as fitting for several volvos and Subaru imports, you will also need from"Autoleads" Part No.PC2-17-4 which is the wiring harness to adapt the wiring so your single din stereo plugs straight in.
Its an easy job, remove glovebox/left lower dash and loosen right lower dash, remove heater control knobs and fascia then stereo surround should just pull out.
P.S. remove ashtray and ashtray mount(2 screws)
Hope that sorts it for you!!!!
If it aint broke...........give it some more abuse!!!!!!!!
I gave it some abuse.................and it broke!!!!!!!

Well he won't last long then, obviously destined for greater things or maybe they overlooked the intelligence on the interview.

            Cheers
