alternator not found!

Hi all, I have an LN130 2L-TE and I believe my alernator to be shot, the thing is I'm not sure where it is, it looks like I have a choice of 3, (looking from the rad) on the left hand side, also do these have brushes or is it an alternator replacement I'm looking at. If it is a replacement what type do I need and what sort of price is reasonable. Many questions I know but I'm a bit stuck ...thanks.

Bottom left as you look at engine from the front. Yes they have brushes. Yours will have a front mount vacuum pump.

Make sure you have two belts and they are tensioned properly. If they are not then you may end up with overheating problems as well because the belts also run the water pump.

About three quarters of an inch of play on the belt's longest run.

why do you think the alt has gone?

whats the symptoms that lead you to the conclusion that the altenator has packed up?
