ECT-solenoid.Where is it?!!

Hi everyone,I'm new to this forum and vehicle.I,ve been all over this site for a couple of weeks and very useful it's been as I've only had my Surf for about a month,anyway to cut to the chase can anyone tell me where the solenoid (if there is one) for the ECT is as I am sure mine is not working after following the advice on the forums.
