    Hi all,

I want to fit an intercooler to my 93 2.4td, I heard you can fit a pajero/ shogun top mount, but was wondering how hard this job will be (pipework and mounting) and if there is a specific intercooler to buy.

All help and any pics would be greatly appreciated

    Thanks

    John

      A few intercooler mods here
      http://www.toyotasurf.asn.au/techsite/performance.htm

the 5th one down is Lovely Boyo's mod on his old surf.

I currently have an Isuzu Trooper cooler and a load of silicon pipework, just waiting for some time and a little extra/expert help to fit it all.

I won't be fitting mine, I have a mechanic friend who will be doing it along with a small list of other jobs. But once done, you are more than welcome to hook up look at my one and we can have a go together, I have done IC work before. FMIC on my scooby, which was a pain. But I'm a little bit older now, and I feel the cold so getting someone else to do it is easier

Looks tidy, I was worried about the height, because of the pipe on the underneath of the IC.

What condition is the IC, do you have any pics??

Sounds good to me, thanks. I feel reasonably confident in doing it, but would like to see another example and check a few things before going straight into it.

It would fit a lot easier if you have a 2" body lift, I've sat my trooper cooler on top of my engine and with careful positioning the bonnet closes perfectly.

the truck has been lifted, but by the previous owner, he had already cut the hole in the bonnet and fitted a scoop, but never got round the doing the IC. I'm assuming the lift has already been done
