  • Rear Bumper Removal

    Hi all

My 2.4 1990 reg surf has got a badly rusted and holed rear chrome bumper.

I managed to get a great 2nd hand replacement but would like some advice on how to remove the old one.

    All replies greatly appreciated.

Best way to find out is to lay on your back under the truck and have a look really.
Basically it's bolted on in four places, two at the back and one on each side if I remember correctly.
If you have an underslung spare wheel, it's much easier if you remove that first.

Oh. and give all the bolts a good squirt of WD40 about 20 minutes before you try and loosen any .

a double squirt of wd and be prepared for snapped bolts, a stock of 8mm would be a good idea
Did I mention I have a BLUE one
