Speedo problem

The speedo on my 1992 2.4 td surf has stopped recording the distance but it still shows the speed correctly. The speedo is electrically driven, I've had the speedo out of the dash but i can not see any obvious faults can anyone help as to what the problem might be?

I'm afraid I can't help you, but if you do a search, you'll find a lot of stuff on speedo's.

That happened to me. A couple of good pumps on the trip counter sorted it out.
