  • HELP-PLEASE!!! Big Photo of Rear Window Regulator

    Hi there.

    A desparate cry for assistance.
I need a close up photo of the rear window regulator, as a small spring has managed to come off it & I am unable to open/close rear door.
Have purchased Ozzie Manual-no joy, downloaded Toyota manuals-no joy, trawled the web-there are some pics, but they are just too small to make out any detail.

    Thanks in advance

Why nor post a picture of the spring, see if one of us can work out where it came from?

        Hi guys.

        Thanks for your replies
I put a post up a while ago with a photo of the spring, but unfortunatley, got no replies. Will re-post it when I get home 2nite.
Thanks Matt for that photo post, but when I blow it up, I can't make out any detail-too darned small

I have manged to jimmy it since-have disconnected the rear door lock rod from the regulator & can now open & close the rear door, just can't lock it, which is fine.

Terrible pics. Could it be the spring from right side of tailgate release handle? Looks vaguely like it although does not have a long leg on one end. I fail to see how this would come off though.

                Hi Nev

Thanks for taking the trouble to post that pic

Its defo not the spring you have kindly highlighted, that's still in place.
All this came about when I managed to close the rear door with the lock half cocked.
Forcing the door open again has resulted in this waste of everyone's time (but much appreciated none the less!)

As I'm able to now open & close the door, I'm more than happy for the post to be drop-kicked to the waste bin.
Yeah, apologies for the crap pics-its the best my digi camera could muster.

                Thanks again everyone!
