Wats The Difference

Could any one tell me the difference between the 2.4 head,and the 2.8 head.If it comes down to the fact that only my heads gone on the2.4.Is it best to get the 2.8 put in.And how better are these heads in relation to the over heating problem.And most of all do these heads crack like the 2.4.

Well if thats the case,someone mentioned putting a 2.8 head on her.Would this mean lossing the turbo or do i keep it on.Is there a improvement on power as well as i tow a carravn twice a year on hols with kids.

The 2.4 head and 2.8 head are almost exactly the same. The difference being that the waterways on the 2.8 head have been re-designed to stop it from cracking so easily. When people buy a Stevo head or talk about 'modified' heads, they actually mean a 2.8 head. It's a straight replacement for the head on your 2.4 and will not crack so easily.

Cheers for that Adam looks like thats my option then.Thats if the block is ok.If its twisted slightly would i still get away with having the head replaced by steveo.Hope it is just the head,bit less dosh.

If it's the block, it's the block. No head will fix that. Stevo can and will advise when you see him.

Thanks adam ringing him tommorow,Is there anything at all i can through in her to get her to stockport.cause shes over heating like a boiling kettle just going half a mile.Dont want to damage her anymore.Steveo`s is approx 10 mile.

If it's going in half a mile, there's not much you can do to deal with that. That's very quick - I presume you checked the stat and rad cap already? I'm sure Steve has a trailer. Failing that, there are plenty of companies (try ebay) who can move vehicles aroud for not much money.
