not long after i got my smurf(sorry)i was driving to cornwall when i saw my temperature and oil pressure gauges going rapidly in the wrong directions so pulled over sharpish in a cloud of steam.aa called and diagnosed as blown head gasket.investigation by garage found one third of the circumference of one cylinder blown away.solved with experimental surgery(rim built up with weld.its run fine ever since).wondered if anyone else run across this problem?
