Brake Light Conundrum

Hoping for help from the regulars here (again)

I have a brake light issue - as in they dont work. the filaments are Ok, the fuse is Ok, the rear lights are on when you turn the lights on but no brake lights when you press the pedal?!?!

Any suggestions much appreciated - totally stumped and going mental...

Had a look underneath - not easy as 6'3! Hit head twice, swore and cant see it - is it up underneath the steering column?

Not embarressed to ask as have ****ing sore head now!

A development - found the switch, had a fiddle around with it to see if it travels freely and checked lights again.

Now the right brake light works but ive lost the rear light totally?!

Jesus mother of sh*te im going loopy here.

Is there summat obvious im missing (such as knackered electrics!)
