im getting a load of black smoke when putting on power could it be fuel filter or could injecters need changing?

First check the air filter is clean . Black smoke is over fuelling or blocked air flow . If the filter is OK run some Redex through the system . 1/4 tank of fuel and add the whole bottle of Redex and drive the Surf like you stole it. If that dont fix it then you may need to have injectors rebuilt.Rick...Member of 1st Gen club. ONE LIFE ... GET ONE !!
