  • Problem with Roughtrax 20%+ springs...?

    Hi Guys,

Ive got Roughtrax 20% uprated +2" springs, as put on by Ant, Growler and me a few months back. All looked OK at the time and we're pretty sure we put the longer one on the drivers side......

Now I've got 2.5-3cm less lift on the drivers side than the passenger side with a full tank of fuel . My mate saw me the other day and texted to say the sub had a saggy arse...... I was unladen at the time, so it wasn't excess load.

I can clearly see the bottom of the chassis over the tyre on the passenger side, and not on the driver side, plus I measured the difference on level ground..... On 31" tyres my arches are 37" Passenger side, 35.5" driver side - if 37" is correct, I suspect a duff spring..... any comments. no, sorry any sensible / relevent comments?

Anyone experienced duff springs from RT? If so, what was the outcome?

    cheers chap 'n' chapessesses.

    Andy

Ive got a set of roughtrax springs an haven't had an issue mate. Might be worth giving Roughtrax a call.

I never noticed one spring being taller then the other.

      Hi there Budie ,

I would talk to Barry down at Rough Trax regards to your problem ?

I have all ways found Barry very fair and accomadating and he has a
wealth of knowledge on Hi lux trucks and Surfs.

It may be a week spring or could be the way it was fitted ? Tony N
fitted the same type of springs to my truck a while ago , you
are right there was a differance beetween the left and right in
      lenght .

      All the best Chris
