More Turbo problems???

I have recently had a head gasket and skim done on my surf, garage that did the work were completely out of their depth, and on collection discovered an oil leak, plus coolant leaking into the cabin! Sent straight back
and on collection [7 days later] discovered that the turbo now acting up.
Used to kick in immediately pressure applied to gas pedal, now light does not come on and no significant increase in boost noted until doing at least 40mph.
Any ideas or is this normal? Turbo light comes on at about 3k+ revs!

Sounds very much like that have forgotten to reconnect something, check all tha vacuum hoses etc.
