Summer Coolant

Hi there ive just found out about this coolant problem on surfs etc. Ive got a k reg 2.4 ssrx auto .And at some point it has had a cam belt change apparantly. So would anybody know that if the cam belt was changed would they have to take the rad etc out to do this ?

They wouldn't have to, but it's safer to asume they did.

Summer coolant and winter antifreeze are the same thing, use up to a 50/50 mix.

Don't assume anything with the coolant system. Flush vehemently and refill, and change the cap and 'stat whilst you are at it.

I have always just used antifreeze, is there a special toyota coolant i should be useing?

Yes Chris, Toyota's own "Red" it's about 13 or 15 squid for 5 ltrs

If you get the cam belt done CHECK THE WATER PUMP IS OK
