3 litre diesel into 2.4.....

Hi,

Has anyone done the 3 litre diesel into a 2.4 conversion?

I've got sick & tired of rebuilding my 2.4 & got offered a 3 litre complete with gearbox at a sensible price.

It seems to physically drop in the same but does anyone have any pointers as to how to get the engine to talk to the car & vice versa?

Both car & new lump are manual.

you will need the wiring loom and ecu's from the 3.0l also.You may aswell just buy a 3.0l and get rid of the 2.4 for all the hassle you'll have swapping them over

It's been donem but unless you are prepared to change the engine mounts, ECU, all the wiring and instruments etc. etc. then forget it.
