  • Does EFI pump from 2LTE fit on a 2L-T

As read here before I recently got a 2.4 EFI (2LTE) Surf 5manual.
    It overheated and bust.

I needed to get a new engine. I got an 2L-T without a pump with the intention to do a conversion and get rid of the EFI. Pump turns out to be expensive, etc.

So, On the other hand, does the EFI pump fit the 2L-T. Does anybody know?
Is there more to the replacing with this engine than just the pump?

    Thanks

the pump will fit but it wont work.it needs a crankshaft sensor, the 2lt does not have one of these.

im afraid to say that there is a cut out in the crank and block for the sensor to go.the 2lt doesnt have either of these.

It takes about 8 hours to do if you're good with spanners, do a search for fuel pump change, and fine the write up by Legendgamesmaster, he did one, not for the faint hearted.

Check the parts for sale section, there was one for sale a couple of weeks back.

legendgamesmaster's was the other way round - mech pump on an EFI engine, rather than EFI pump on a mech engine

              Ok guys,

Enough to put me off the idea. Thanks for your contributions.

Is it equally difficult to take the EFI engine out and dump a 2LT in- complete with it's own pump and everything?
