  • Annoying Squuek/Chirp

Hi all, My hilux has developed a really annoying squeek from the engine. I have changed the aircon belt as this was found to be slack but to no avail. I have just recently changed the water pump as I was convinced that was where it was coming from but again after a full day in the garage and ££'s thrown down the toilet, the squeeks still there. My next port of call is the alternator but was wondering if anyone else has had the same problem and hopefully has a quick and CHEAP fix...

Any help would be greatly appreciated......

It was the 'Chirp' that made me think of the harmonic balancer, the rest would only squeak.
