    are the non efi and efi basic engines(block and head) the same??????

    I believe the blocks are slightly different so that there's somewhere to plug in the additional sensors for the EFI.

      aye there's a crankshaft position sensor somewhere on the EFI, not sure about any other differences

            TPS is on the throttle housing not the block. EFI has a Crank Sensor just behind the fuel pump and a Coolant Sensor behind starter, just below the head roughly between cylinders three and four.

              Yes. It will never run properly unless a crank sensor and a coolant sensor is used. The ECU needs these.
