  • Water Sound behind dash?

    Hi,
    I have a 1993 SSR-X 2.4.
When I start the car up, I can hear like a trickling water sound behind the dash, this continues when I rev/am driving along.
Has anyone else had this problem?

    Thanks,
    Chris

It does it when it's dry out, so I don't think it's rain water

if you run your engine up to temperature then put the front blowers on hot and pointing at the screen does it steam up?

There's only two lots of water in the car - screenwash & coolant.

The screenwash would only leak when the washers are operated and maybe for a few seconds afterwards if it was anywhere but the reservoir leaking.

Which only really leaves coolant, are you losing any and having to top it up?

Mine does that when it's time to top up the coolant level, you can hear the water flowing as it has some air in it. Check it in the morning.

Mine did that for a few weeks when i changed the coolant as it had a few air bubble still in the system, it eventually sorted itself. I wouldnt worry, just to make sure push slider to cold and it will stop. Push it to hot itll start again and rev it itll speed up or get louder.

                  Thats what tis I think.
