Urgent Help Needed!!!

Does anyone know either how to take the starter motor off Or jam the engine to stop it turning

I have an Auto sont DONT say put it in gear

I am in the middle of doing this now so asap would be good

If you are trying to undo the bottom pulley bolt then the best way is to put a socket with a long bar on it and then jam the bar onto something very solid so as it wont turn, then hit the starter briefly, that will loosen the bolt. CAUTION, DO NOT STAND IN LINE WITH THE BAR IN CASE IT SILPS, IT COULD COME OUT AT HIGH SPEED, DO NOT LET THE ENGINE START EITHER.
Hope this helps, the only other way is to use an air tool gun.

using jump leads and starter motor didnt work, wasn't enuf torque and nearly melted jump leads...gonna have to take the motor off.

just flick the ignition key very breifly worked for me make sure your breaker bar is wedged on the underside of the drivers side chassis rail.
