2.4 overheating

Hi, it seems like I have the dreaded head problem. After reading many threads it would seem that the general concensus is that a new modified head is best.
My question is how do I know what type of head is being offered when buying unseen? What are the important things to ask?

Either buy from Stevo (advert in top right corner, refresh if it's not there right now) or buy a genuine Toyota one for a 3L engine (that's the engine code, it fits on a 2.4 honestly)

It's confusing

The 2.4 engine is called the '2LTE'
There is also a 2.8 engine which is very similar and the heads are interchangeable with the 2.4. It is called the '3L'
The 3.0 engine is called a '1KZTE'.

The head from a 3L engine is the 'modified' head for the 2LTE. The head from a 1KZTE will not fit.

just to confuse you a bit more but the modified heads as they are so called are the 2.8 litre 3L head so not the actual 3.0 litre head
But like sancho says just aske for the new head for a 2.4 and you'll get the right one from Stevo or TonyN
