Does anybody know how much roughley an engine would go for? This is not a quiz and there are no prizes I've been offered one complete and running with 100,000 klm on the clock for £1250.....

Nah,

Give "find a part" a ring (number on here somewhere) I got mine from them complete with turbo for £800 Garunteed 30,000 miles use from new. English engine all stamped up and documented so no cylinder head worries.

2.4 TD engine

Thanks for welcming me to the u/s engine club the other day. As much as I don`t want to be a member of this ever growing club, I guess I am going to bite the bullet too.... and go for the new engine option. After doing some searching about I found a place in Motherwell that is called The Engine Room that will supply a 2.4 TD efi engine complete for 895 + delivery + VAT. The guy on the phone said his engines were low mileage imports from Japan, which he runs and tests, and gives a 12 month gaurentee. Expensive... but not the most expenssive I was quoted. Good luck with the search.

I was quoted NZ$4000 for a second hand 2.4TD with a poxy 30 day guarantee over here!! It was cheaper to get mine re-built complete with new head, although I did spend a day either side of the rebuild removing/reinstalling engine!! Otherwise it would of been closer to NZ$6000!!
