Hi,

I'm just about to buy my first surf.

it's a 91 2.4 TD SSR-X....i think?

Just wondering if the 91 suffers from dreaded head problem or is that just the 93...or is it both?

Also..is this surf a deal....FSH, 1 owner since import, 75K on the clock, AC, Elec Windows + mirrors, 4x4, manual gears, bodywork perfect as is interior. £2495.00....?

It's the same problem on all 2.4s

You are about a grand over market price there. have a look in the for sale section for much better bargains - a 2.4 with the head done already and a much newer 2.7 petrol are both within that bracket and currently for sale.

Yes, head can go whenever it feels like it but normally after overheating.

If you get one without the head done and look after it properly there's no reason to think it will go but one slip and it's dead.

There are plenty to choose from, even in Scotland, so take your time.

Do it yourself around £800, garage anything £££££

Cant prevent it from going as it was a design fault, best off getting one with a head already place.
