Spare pipe

Hi I need some help (again)

After changing the starter motor a couple of weeks ago I had a check today and found a small pipe disconnected, I just cant find where it goes everything is working ok but obviously a bit concerned and I cant stop the wife laughing she says whenever I do anything there is always bits left over. Anyway have a look at the pics and see what you think.

is that the breather for the aircon fans? in which case it shouldn't be connected to anything, just tucked out the way somewhere.
