    anyone know how hard/easy to replace a clutch in a 2.4 diesel 1990 surf as i need to know what to expect from mechanic

    They shouldn't make much more fuss than a normal RWD car, once you undo the front prop, thats it, just remove the gearbox, and change the clutch like normal.

    Make sure they check the flywheel, on some Surfs its not a single peice of metal like most designs, but two/three parts with springs/dampers between them (can't remember the details), to lessen shock loads on the car, but sometimes they fail, and lead to a juddering clutch or other odd noises.
