Are the 2.4TD's fairly quick?

Some say they are sluggish others say they are quite responsive.

Theyre slow, but powerfull enough to move around. my wifes 1.1 c3 is a little faster if she guns it.

But then, if you want something fast, don't buy a bleedin' great big truck.
I'm greatful my Surf is the slowest car I've owned. No more getting pulled for going at 160mph like in the Quattro! Crusing in town at the speed limit is so relaxed with a hard-pulling engine and auto box.
