Doesn't matter which battery, they're wired together anyway.
Make sure your engine is running and the idle-up button is pressed.

silly follow on/half-cut already question vince....my surf only has the 1 battery BUT my brother's yard has a couple of surfs in it at the moment....question is...if i remove all the wires going from the right hand batteries in his yard surfs, then hook them up in the same order on my 1 batteried surf, is that all i need to do to get that extra bit of starting power/auxillary power a 2nd battery gives or do i need to feck around with relays and such?
i swear, it was like that when i got here...

In theory yes, the two batteries are just wired up in parallel. But I've not seen the wiring for a single battery version, so don't know if there are any intricacies.

The whole bit about relays is only for a split charge system - where you have an additional battery to run accessories off whilst leaving the main battery unaffected for starting the truck.

Yep. Just link the two positive teminals together, and a new earth strap to the body on the new battery.

If you're gonna do that on a regular basis, you may find this interesting....
