  • glow plugs & stuff

Hiya folks. Have a look at this plug and tell me if you think it's fooked please.

All four are like that, kind of worn away at the end. Been having cold-start problems and figured it may be dodgy glow plugs. Also, when I was dismantling the air filter pipes and whatnots to gain access to the plugs I discovered black oily residue inside there. Is this a problem I should worry about??
    Thanks a lot,
    Jay.

Black oily residue is fine mate, just from breathers and stuff. To check your glow plug hook it up (carefully) to positive and negative of battery and see if it quickly glows red. If they dont, a new set will only be £20-£30.

If you do need new ones, check the threads on the Oz site, as many people have found that the after market ones don't last too long, and most have gone back to OEM ones.
