Carrozzeria stereo and speaker question
I have two Carrozzeria decks in my Surf. The top deck plays CD's, the bottom deck plays tapes. They both have volume control, but the top deck seems to be the master volume. The bottom volume does work, but only seems to control the output to the top deck.
Here is the question(s):
1. If I remove the bottom deck, will the top deck still work?
2. What is splitting the speaker signals to the 8 speakers I have (2 in each door, 4 in the back). If I replace the deck completely with a single DIN deck, will all 8 speakers still get a signal - I have read about rear amplifiers, will those work with any deck?
3. I am hoping to mount a Yaesu FT-2800M VHF FM Transceiver in the bottom DIN space. Does anyone know of any problems this may cause? Where have other mounted a radio?
