Guys.
Driving home, engine cut out as per usual. When I stopped I noticed steam coming from front left (as you look at it from the drivers seat).
I drove home (about 4 miles) very slowly.
NOTE No engine waring light came on at all during this journey and turbo kicked in as per usual.
However, when I got on my drive I could hear a bubbling noise and so I lifted the bonnet and the expansion tank was steaming with a strong bubbling sound coming from its general direction.
Furthermore, there is now a crack on the top front edge of my radiator.
Now, he last mechanic to look at the car said that the radiator needed replacing as it was same one that was on when the previous head cracked. The previous owner didn't replace it and apparently he should have.
The car drove home fine, but obviously all of what happened is a bit of a worry.
Looks to me that the radiator has given up the ghost, there was no steam or smoke coming from the engine at all.
What do you all think?
