...........Fitting a rocker head gasket thingy please

Got it in the post today. Now what do i do with it????
Want to get the Surf in the driveway for the weekend,but its not allowed till its stopped leaking.

I thing Tonyn said that there are some spacers between the rocker cover and head so be carefull no to lose them if they are there

Yep, there are small sleeves which go in each hole of the gasket. Remove from old and install in new. Check the small D shaped alloy block at rear of head is not leaking or dislodged during removal. If it is clean and reseal. The cover may be difficult to remove if the old gasket has stuck to the head. Mine was. A rubber mallet may come in handy. Use a little sealer between rear of gasket and D bush and where the cover sits over front of cam.

Job done Just a wee steam clean tmrw on check everythings ok. Only hassle was gettin that $$$$$$ silver EFI thing back on with those $$$$ hoses and stupid,stupid clampy clip things. Feckin nightmare

hi bud that efi thing i put some washing up liquid on it and they slipped on a wee bit easier it was the one to the turbo in let after the air filter box that got a small rip in it and the price that Toyota want is 35quid plus vat so i got a new one from some one that was s$$$$ing one on the site
