I have just discovered a slight tapping coming from the engine, it starts around 2000, and dissapears around 2600rpm. is this serious. if so how long will it last like this and how hard is it to fix?

mine taps,. always has done - mine is from around 1500-2000 but then i cant hear it cos of the turbo after that!

Mine does the same, or did the same. More regular use stopped it. Also went to Toyota and bought theyre mazda oil they use in the hilux's that come in, Its a 5-40w semi synthetic, and its only £11 for 5 ltrs so 2 containers will do it. Also Dont buy a filter from motor factors as they dont have the pressure valve in them that the toyota one does (it directs the oil differently.).Without Surf And UnhappyComment

It could be the INJECTORS so do the REDEX for Diesel Treatment 1st
