  • Pains me to say it but...

    Does anyone have pics or anything of how to get at the oil filter on the 2.4?

    planning on doing an oil change sataday ...but i dont know what im doing

    you just have to remove a little plate behind the o/s/f/ wheel. Right above the shocker. Three ten mil bolts hold it on. Piece of cake mate.

        can anyone get it out without spilling oil everywhere? I must have done about 9 oil changes on mine and I spill some everytime!

            apparently if you cut the bottom off a 2l drinks bottle you can pull the filter out and dump it in the bottle - give it a bash.

              I just put the tray to catch the oil under the wishbone area to catch any spill from taking the filter off.

                  I put a plastic freezer bag over it and hold it tight against the block, no oili leakage this way.

                  I read that on here somewhere.

                      Did mine about a week ago

                      Put a tray under the wishbone and reached down and unscrewed the filter by hand.

                      Filter slipped out of my hand and found its own way into the drip tray.

                      Had no probs getting new filter in without removing any covers.
