Porb a daft question so I apologise now. Do I really need 2 batteries? Other half has lost his rag coz batteries keep losing power an won't seem to charge past halfway charge (if ya get me). Had it checked an nothin is draining power but they seem to lose power over a couple of days - me - I am willing to buy 2 new ones - him - why do I need 2? Need a reason please?

Toyota fitted two small capacity batteries instead of one big one for some reason.
You don't have to have two, you can use one as long as it's at least 700cca.

batteries are about 32 quid each from the local motor factors, if you want to see which batteries dying use a clamp meter to test the drain from each battery. one will be on its last legs and emptying the other one.
changed mine a few weeks before i got rid of it, found the price was a lot cheaper if i didn't mention 'japanese import'TeaM BOFA4x4 Mac 2008
