dodgy differential ?

My 93 2.4 ssrx has developed a kind of whir or whine which i believe is coming from the differential,the very helpfull Tony from Basingstoke says that if it is the diff the cheapest way to sort it is to locate a secondhand one,so i need to find out what the ratio is,the trans/axle number on the firewall is A343F G144 can anybody out there tell me the ratio based on that information it would be much appreciated.
