  • Diesel Leak

Hi folks, has anyone got an answer for this one ?
I've looked at the other aricles on the subject and it doesn't look as easy as it sounds.

My injection pump leaks at the back by the engine block.
It only leaks when it's cold
    It starts & runs fine
Every garage I go to says they will take it off but it needs to go to a specialist for re-calibrating.
The only garage I've found who will do it is 120miles away because it's an efi motor.
Has anyone got a diagram of the pump, or any details on removal, and replacement, pitfalls or disasters

    It's driving me mad !

    Cheers

Hi baggins, I'm told the same thing, that the pump has to go to a specialist, but the guys on the Oz forum seem to strip 'em down themslves.

You can buy a new Oz pump for your surf for about £250 inc shipping, so that may be cheaper than having yours fixed.

Do a search here and on the Oz forum for " fuel pump leak" and you'll find all the info you want.

I have done mine a 91 2.4 model, a little harder to strip down as the throttle linkage is on the top plate.
