Can Anyone Tell Me What Sorta Fuel Economy They Are Getting Out Of A 2.4 Turbo Diesel Surf Auto?

Can They Get To 120kph With 33" Tyres?

    Is A 4" Lift Possible?

    21mpg average.
    128kph on 31s.
A 4" lift is possible cause LA Supertrux do a 4" lift kit (I chickened out and got the 2" kit, but every inch counts).
    Gone from 4x4 to 1x2

i had my surf up to 90mph (144kph)*you couldnt cruise at this speed though* as i just wanted to see if it will do it... it will! and still pulls at that speed.
i have a free flow exhaust, l200 intercooler, and a K&N mounted onto the turbo itself. when i let the throttle up it dumps air somewhere. quite loudly depending on the boost pressure. i only run between 8-10 psi now.
i get 2.4mpg i worked out, but my air temp sensor isnt mounted in its propper place because of the k&n but i will add it in next weekend. so hopefully ill get a couple more mpg

well, not blowing any trumpets or anything, but i have done many a trip at 90 and a touch over and under and it done no harm at all. Been to devon twice and one of those times i was hurling a trailer back, never even felt like it was there plus i had four passengers. It takes 6 to 7 hours to do that trip and only stopped to grab a costa coffee on the go.

I do hi milage and get about 24mpg. I have fitted an intercooler but also I have removed half the bl00dy car - front bumpers, all aircon, rear bumpers, side steps, lightweight bash plate fitted.

Can They Get To 120kph With 33" Tyres?

My 33''s are only fitted when I go off road - they wreck the performance - low mpg, $$$$ acceleration, noisy etc etc 120 = Downhill with a following wind

                      Is A 4" Lift Possible?

Yes - 2'' suspension + 2'' body lift = easy and not so costly.

Yes - 4'' suspension lift = expensive but very good.

NO NO NO - 4'' body lift only = a pain to do and probably dangerous.

Do. I have an engine problem then?

I'm only getting about 16-17 mpg, and it has far less power than I would have expected. 10% grade and I have to slow to about 85 before the speed holds in third gear. Any ideas?

Had mine out on the motorway today, and although in every other respect it seems to perform ok, it would only get to 75 on the flat, and 85 down hill.
Don't know if it should go faster.
And I get between 18 -22 mpg depending on whether my fuel pump is leaking at the time.

                              Still working for the man!
