HELP!!!!!!
i have a 2nd gen 2.4. i took it out in the mud on sunday and had great fun and drove home no problem.on monday whilst at work i started it up to go home and the temp guage rose past its customary half way to about 3/4 up the guage. i immediately switched off and looked underneath. i washed the rad out as it had quite a bit of mud and dust both back and front. it took about 3 pints of water.i set off carefully home (about 30 miles), soon after leaving i got a lot of steam but then nothing, i noticed the rads stayed wet so have put bar sealer in to get me home. this morning it took about 3 pints of water and the rad has a damp patch over it (fan side).the temp stays the same the heater is blowing out good hot air, and the hoses are not getting hard. what course of action should i now take, and assuming it needs a good surf mechanic is there any one near to eastbourne (east sussex) that you fine fellows could reccomend 12.03 pm have just noticed that the rad is leaking along a soldered joint on the top of the rad. when i check water and oil i usually check both expansion tank and take the cap of the top of the thermostat housing an damend as neede. i put rad weld in yesterday so im not getting as much leakage from the rad as i was. is this indiciative of just a leaky rad or something more sinister
