i am looking for some 2LT engine parts

can anyone suggest where I might look to find some used parts ?

Specific - I seek an A/C compressor bracket with the integrated tensioner pulley for a late 80's toyota 2L/2LT

Howdy, have you tried the for sale section, there are always people breaking surfs in there.

    Good hunting.

      Good to see you mate:

I will place a few ads and look around a bit - I am wondering if there are any recyclers around the UK I might contact - only thing i see here are those that want to broker the part for me from Japan - wait 3-4 months

I am seeking the dismantlers in the Oceania's as well

      Enjoy weeks end ya:

      Cheers

If you made your location a tad more descriptive than desert southwest, it would help with questions like this.

          Sorry :

Desert Southwest USA- Arizona to be exact

I feel at this point my search should broaded to where these diesels are a plenty - I understand in the UK they are / were a plenty so perhaps if there are som dimantlers or recyclers in the UK I could contact - i actually may find what i need

          Cheers thanks for your conciderations:

No probs. Just helps if we know what country you're in. Shipping costs will be a large problem with larger/heavier goods. There are a few on the toyotadiesel.com site who have found importers of diesel parts and engines, I believe. May be worthwhile asking on there first to see what they suggest.

As an addendum, I think Richard, (Stormforce), has a link to a decent breaker in the UK. Might be worthwhile chucking up a thread in general to grab his attention.

thanks for the note and info:

I am aware of shipping - I dont think a a/c bracket will be more than 11-12 kilo - what ever it is - if it has to come oversea's - then it will and hopefully surface 6 weeks will be economical

I'll put up a note in general to see if I can get Stormforce's attention

shipping a compressor would never be concidered

                enjoy weeks end

                Cheers:

Hi again, try this page from yotatech forum, I think it's self explanatory.

                  http://www.yotatech.com/showthread.php?t=114673

If it doesn't work let me ( Or Matt ) know and I'll try to find a better way to get you the info.
