2.4 head on a 3.0 block???

Does anyone know if a 2.4 2LTE head will fit on a 3.0 block. A friend has a block for a 3.0 diesel and my 2.4 bottom end is noisey but don't want to pick it up unless I know it will fit. Any help appreciated.

If you mean 3ltr - 1KZ-TE then no. Different engine alltogether.

There was an engine called the 3L - this is a code for the 2.8 non turbo diesel - this is the stronger head that is usually fitted to the 2.4

Thanks for the info. It was out of a 2000 3ltr.
