This morning being a tiny bit cooler,
Put on heater and it ran cold.

No sign of oil in water or bubbles on dipstick/filler


Where might it be worth looking next

Bugger and got a ticket yesterday as well

Might just be an airlock in the cooling system. Do a search on burping the cooling system.

you absolutly must get the photograph off them, just write to them and say you dont know who was driving at that time as you were sharing the driving, can you please send the picture. i have just got off a speeding fine because the snap was of my rear window. and very poor quality. and if its obviously you, at least you get something for ya money

Should it be a coolant level thing,
Would it acceptable adding a kettle of tap water see if that corrects problem

And then if that works re-new with completely new proper coolant at this years oil change?

I switched it on out of interest but it mattered not a jot.

What difference would it make out of interest

I got off a speeding ticket a couple of years ago, I was clocked at an average of 95mph, and peaked at 115mph, followed by a police volvo.

The nice man showed me a video of my exploits and had me bang to rights.

It took them 5 months and three weeks to send me the summonds, and then a further 9 months to drag it from one court to another ( due to being too busy I think)

I asked for a copy of the video evidence, which they were unable tro provide, coz I guess somebody lost it, so it got thrown out of court due to lack of evidence.

It did put the fear of God up me though, coz I was looking at 6-9 points, and I already had three, so I could of lost me licience.

haven't broken a speed limit since, 30mph on the dot and f**k everybody else.

Lucky escape

I was clogging it down to the coast the other weekend
hoping to beat the BH traffic, I think I know where I came unstuck as its likey that bit where it weaves about throught the trees near Stowmarket.

however as i say given they have my reg it was either

rear facing GATSO
or

man in van craning his neck to cop my rear plate
we'll have to wait and see

I'm about to compose request for picture which I'll pop on here.


Now


I topped up rad with about 3 pints of water at lunchtime
and (touch wood) its back to its normal operating temp according to gauge

Theres been an Air-con sized puddle beneath it for a week or so

and since I've used the AC on & off over that period
I thought it might be that.

However given I return to similar spot each night I've noticed it haden't dissapeared as water should
but instead leaves a very slightly oily residue, HMmmmmm!

Not used AC since last years top-up if that means anything
