    hey guys,

I recently replaced the head and glow plugs on my 91 toyota hilux 2.4 L SSR. I find if the weather cools off even a little bit or I leave the surf sit for more than 3 hours, when I try to fire it up it takes a while to turn over, when it finally does I have a rough idle for a couple of minutes.... It almost seems as though the starter is worn and not spinning fast enough? Any ideas?

    Thanks Erik

    New batteries perhaps?
May be loose earth (ground) connection somewhere.
    Worn, clogged, dribbling injector?
Leave ignition on untill you hear the warning beeper before starting.

as the main man above says turn the key and wait for the beeps, i used to turn key and then when the glow plug light went out start it.. it always took a bit and i noticed that turning the plugs on and off helped till i saw a thread saying the truck beeps when it is warm enough..

this helped me and it will run rough for a couple of minutes till warm and the oil is everywhere it should be..
