Headache!!!!

My beast is now in the hospital having its head replaced!! What i would like to know is, people talk about a head cracking or going? mine seemed to just be really badly pitted. is this the same thing?
It also caused my rad to explode! build up of pressure an all that. What sort of price am I likley to be paying for a head and a rad?

Check it carefuly for the cracks they an be small and unseen at first so check very carefully. Only sur way to tell if its cracked if you can't see the cracks is a pressure test, which i would think is advisable in your position before you spend out on anew one.
