  • Lost immobiliser - hayyullp

    Hi,

My pal Penny has lost her immobiliser bit to her keys...
Are there any quick ways around getting her back on the road?
She has 3 kids and lives in the middle of nowhere so is very stuck right now.
The AA couldn't do a thing earlier.

Its a manual if that makes any difference.

I reckon our surfs were talking on the drive, our power steering went driving up her muddy / bumpy track - humph.

    Fingers crossed, Nx

No quick ways I'm afraid, that's the whole point of an imobilliser.
It depends on how many circuits have been incorporated could be one, two or three and all of them will have to be traced and bridged out.
If you know the company that fitted it then they will be the best bet, but failing that then you need the help of a good alarm fitter with plenty of time to spare.
Laugh!!! I nearly bought my own beer.

        phew

she found it, just as she had her local surf doctor set up to come and take it all apart tomorrow.

        Thanks for the advice!
